This gold fibula of a long footed form decorated with a figure of a naked warrior wearing a celtic helmut, with a scabbard suspended from the waist and carrying a sword. The scabbard and pommel of the sword are both of the La Tene type. The arched bow has 8 curls and side panels and are elaborately decorated with running spirals and loops. There is also a boar and haunting dog jumping up to him. This piece was probably made by a greek craftsman active on the Iberian peninsula. La Tene is the name of an archeological site in Switzerland, and the name given to the archeological remains of Central European barbarians who terrorized the Greek and Roman civilizations during the last part of the European Iron age. This piece was found in Spain. This artifact comes from 250-200 bc.
