Cupid Roman recreation of Greek original. He is older than the typical youth cupid we normally think of. He is probably made of marble. He is missing his fingers on both hands. It looks like his legs are reconstructed but the feet are original. He is leaning on a tree trunk. His bow and quiver are beside the tree trunk. The wings are less detailed than most Greek originals. He’s not smiling. His movement is relaxed and not exaggerated. Could be a later century. He has a fig leaf over his genitals, is that prevention for having it lobbed off? He has curly hair and is clean shaven. His torso is very smooth while his legs look like they have been stuck together. Is that a possible poor casting technique or reconstruction. Texture on the wings, hair, leaves, tree, bow and quiver.
