Support for Throne of God In the painting Throne of God with Elders and Four Evangelist symbols, Christ is depicted in the pantocrator position. The word pantocrator is Greek, and is translated form the Hebrew title El Shaddai which means ‘all powerful”. It is meant to represent that he is equally powerful and eternal with God. This title given to Jesus split the early church. Source: http://experimentaltheology.blogspot.ca/2008/03/iconography-of-christ-pantokrator.html
