This is another Vestibule and in this floor mosaic we see Odysseus offering wine to the Cyclops Polyphemus. This vestibule like the one of “Pan and Eros” is also located in Sicily, Villa Romana Del Casale. Telling stories using mosaics was common in this time period. This vestibule illustrates the importance of offering to a higher power than oneself was important to their culture. This was often the case for a lot of the mythological and hybrid creatures.
