This piece of stela was made for Deniuenkhonsu who is a musician of Amun. The Stela told a story about Deniuenkhonsu. In this piece of art work, a heaped offering table is between the sun god Re and Deniuenkhonsu. The ancient Egytian believed that Re possessed the power to restore the dead to life who was the creator of life on earth. At this time, Re defeated the chaos and brought light and new life to people. There are little bit fragment at borders. Space and shape is busy. Re is bigger than the person and elevated because he is more important. The texture of work drawn my attention because they made scence and add details at woman’s clothes. The plants and the bottom of Re. These elements organized great at the stela. Not much repetition but the texture of work drawn my attention because they made scence and add details at woman’s cloth and plants and the bottom of Re. Very top of the stela and outline is symmetrical but inside is asymetrical. The composition seem harmonious. The artist try to show people the ancient belief of gods. The artist saying about sungod-Re can control people’s life. The British Museum held the work. Probably from Thebes, Egypt Third Intermidiate Period (950- 900 BC) Sources: http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore/highlights/highlight_objects/aes/w/wooden_stela_of_deniuenkhonsu.aspx
